Story of Odori Park
On a fine day, soak up the sunshine,
You can feel the peaceful air in this park.
There are probably few parks in Japan that are this long in front of a station.
It connects JR Kannai Station and Bando-bashi Station,
The park is a strip of 1.2 km long, connecting JR Kannai Station and Bando-bashi Station.
The park is divided into three zones: “Stone Plaza,” “Water Plaza,” and "Green Plaza.
In each zone, a sculpture is placed one by one.
On the side of Kanto Gakuin University in front of the station, there is a work by Auguste Rodin, the creator of "The Thinker.
This long boulevard park was created in the Edo period,

The area was developed by Kanbei Yoshida, a lumber merchant in the Edo period,
The area was called “Yoshida Shinden” (Yoshida Shinden).
In the Meiji era (1868-1912), when the Port of Yokohama was opened, a canal was constructed to facilitate access to land and water,
